Zone 231 VOLUNTEER

Our afterschool program is open following Mt. Healthy City Schools calendar, after school every day from 3p-6p.

Volunteers in the afterschool program are to support Zone 231’s educational, social, and recreational programs. The program is designed to strengthen and enhance the everyday lives of the children and families in our community. We are happy to have you serve with us for a little or as long of a time as you would like.  Volunteers skills we are looking for:

  1. Provide Homework assistance in academic subjects
  2. Coach the student in identifying resources to complete assignments.
  3. Provide positive feedback and encourage student to stay focused.
  4. Express kind and appropriate language to students
  5. Participate in activities
  6. Be willing to have a background check.
Have you ever been convicted for a criminal offense?
Have you ever been convicted of child abuse, sexual abuse, or been involved in any activities related to molesting or abusing children or youth?
Have you used illegal drugs?

Our Policy is that we do background checks on everyone who works with children.
